Audio Walking Tour

In the Footsteps of Philip Schuyler:
An Audio Experience of His World
In the Footsteps of Philip Schuyler is an audio walking tour inspired by the physical and cultural changes that have taken place in the city Philip Schuyler once called home. Using a combination of sound-art and narration, the tour seeks to offer more than a recitation of facts; rather, it hopes to stimulate an imaginative link to the environment of 1765.

By following the numbered stops on the walking tour maps, and listening to audio interpretations that center on the places relevant to Philip Schuyler's life - the grounds of his mansion, the streets and institutions of downtown Albany, and the river - In the Footsteps of Philip Schuyler invites you to explore the modern city and discover a time and place that no longer exists.
